Effects of Ovariectomy and Dieting with Nano Calcium Phosphate on Bone Quality in White Rats Rattus norvegicus

چکیده

Calcium supplements are widely used to prevent osteopenia and osteoporosis can be as a treatment along with other drugs. The effect of this supplement seen from the improved bone quality. focus in study was analyze quality femur based on mineral maturity degree crystallinity ovariectomized Rattus norvegicus where various nano calcium phosphate diets (1.0×; 1.5× 2.0× normal needs, respectively called A, B C diets) also given. In amount 40 white female rats age 12 weeks were 5 sham nurtured. group given euthanasia at 13 weeks, while treated 17 21 weeks. At 25 after ovariectomy, diet analysis performed when they 31 old. each harvest, proximal part collected characterized by using FTIR Spectroscopy. Rat shows trait for first time or 9 ovariectomy decreased 1.16 2.27 %, compared rat group. dietary conducted showed that fed A had not significant changes (p < 0.05) crystallinity, giving increase 15 diet. (6 weeks) faster than (15 weeks). Therefore, is recommended because it more efficient effective increases cost producing diet.
 HIGHLIGHTS

Ovariectomy one treatments condition bones have osteoporosis. One parts often affected femur
 Bones restored diet
Parameters analyzed regarding decline improvement include crystallinity. Assessment these parameters done Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy

A survey on helminthic infection in mice (Mus musculus) and rats (Rattus norvegicus and Rattus rattus) in Kermanshah, Iran

Parasitic infections of rodents can compromise scientific research as well as the health of the animals and humans. Based on previous studies, infection rate of parasitic helminths is different in various regions of Iran. The current survey was aimed to determine endoparasitic helminths infection in 138 trapped rodents of Kermanshah county, Iran. Mice and rats were trapped using metal snares fr...

Quantity Discrimination in Domestic Rats, Rattus norvegicus

Quantity discrimination is a basic form of numerical competence where an animal distinguishes which of two amounts is greater in size. Whilst quantity discrimination in rats has been investigated via training paradigms, rats' natural quantity discrimination abilities without explicit training for a desired response have not been explored. This study investigated domestic rats' ability to perfor...

Sex modifies genetic effects on residual variance in urinary calcium excretion in rat (Rattus norvegicus).

Conventional genetics assumes common variance among alleles or genetic groups. However, evidence from vertebrate and invertebrate models suggests that residual genotypic variance may itself be under partial genetic control. Such a phenomenon would have great significance: high-variability alleles might confound the detection of "classically" acting genes or scatter predicted evolutionary outcom...
